Common early-game mistakes in mobile strategy games
Strategy games like Iron Frontier Command live and die on early decisions. I've lost more runs to sloppy openings than to anything late, and it took me a while to notice the pattern.
The classic mistake is over-expanding. Grabbing territory feels productive, but if you can't defend or supply it, you've just spread yourself thin. Slow, solid growth almost always beats a sprawling mess.
The second mistake is ignoring economy for military. It's tempting to build up force early, but without a steady economy underneath, that force stalls the moment things get hard. Invest in the boring stuff first.
Finally, read the tech tree before you commit. A lot of strategy games hide their best paths behind a couple of early choices, and it's frustrating to realize you locked yourself out of something good. Plan the shape of your run before you start clicking.
